The Government has recently issued Decree No. 104/2022/ND-CP amending the Decree related to the submission and presentation of household registration books, temporary resident documents when utilizing administrative processes and public services.
Accordingly, from January 1, 2023, citizens can use one of the following documents to prove their residential status instead of a household registration book:
– Citizen ID card.
– Identity card.
– Certificate of residential status.
– Notice of personal identification number and citizen information in the National Population Database.
When a citizen changes to a chip-equipped citizen ID card, the citizen must go to the bank to update banking information themself.
